Review:

The hype that surrounds this book is 100% granted. The relationships between Nora and her sister Libby and Nora and her love interest Charlie are fantastic and well-written. Nora has a facade of a cold, ambitious novel agent but internally is a kind woman who is jaded with her past relationships and upbringing. Nora and her little sister Libby (a vibrant and quirky individual) travel from New York City to Sunshine Hills, North Carolina, to experience the rural life along with Nora possibly finding love. As Nora and Libby enjoy their ventures in North Carolina, they meet Charlie Lastra, a sarcastic, brooding, and handsome novel editor whom Nora met on a sour note in New York City. Sparks fly between Nora and Charlie, and let me tell you; it's emotional, sexy, and entertaining. Libby and Nora are some of the best-written sisters' duos I have come across in a long time. Although they have opposite personalities, their love for one another is sweet and reminds me of my relationship with my younger sisters.

This novel was a treat to read and is one of Emily Henry's best works. The supporting characters are great and bring the city of Sunshine Hills to life. I also appreciate how the character descriptions for the male love interest (in this case, Charlie) are more succinct and less repetitive than Beach Read—highly recommended! I feel a spin-off for one of the featured characters will happen soon, and I hope it does.
